Press release on the opening of the glamping camp of the Hungarian company Fulmer apiary in Jalal-Abad region
Official opening of the glamping camp of the Hungarian company Fulmer Apiary took place with the participation of the Chairman of the Management Board of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund T. Erkinov and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Bel-Alda Local Authority (aiyl okmotu).
As part of Fulmer Apiary's expedition to the Kyrgyz Republic, the company implemented its first project in the Kyrgyz Republic and Central Asia by building a glamping camp located near the village of Bel-Aldy in the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region. The camp is located at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters above sea level.
The camp was built to organize the process of collecting mountain honey and provide permanent residence to the company's employees. The company set an ambitious goal to create the best honey in the world. The whole process of creating honey is planned to be captured in a short film that will be broadcast in Europe. Specifically for these purposes, a film crew from Hungary will arrive in Kyrgyzstan.
The glamping camp consists of 4 domes. The design of the domes was based on the concept of a national Kyrgyz yurt. The domes were made according to the design of the owner of Fulmer Apiary, Mr. Fulmer-Takacs Ferenc, and brought to Kyrgyzstan from Hungary. Each dome is equipped with all necessary amenities, including electricity, cold and warm water, toilet and shower. Electricity is provided through the use of renewable energy sources, namely solar panels.
As a result of the Fund’s work, Fulmer Apiary opened its representative office in the Kyrgyz Republic on March 30, 2022. Fulmer Apiary plans to export Kyrgyz honey to the European Union.
"Glamping" is one of the promising areas in the field of tourism, so the project of Fulmer Apiary is one of the first of its kind in the country and can serve as an example for the exchange of experience, knowledge and technologies in order to actualize the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan and create similar projects in other regions of the country.
Glamping is an outdoor holiday with all the amenities and full hotel service. The new word "glamping" comes from the phrase glamorous camping. For the first time this concept appeared in 2005 in the UK.
Such projects have a positive impact on the promotion of the brand of Kyrgyz honey in Europe, as well as the development of tourism in the Jalal-Abad region.
