On the Regular Meeting of the Council of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund

The eighteenth regular meeting of the Council of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (hereinafter referred to as HKDF or the Fund) was held May 27 under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chairman of the Council of the Fund, Bakyt Sydykov.

The meeting was attended by: • Deputy Chairman of the Council, Trade Advisor, First Secretary of the Embassy of Hungary in Astana, Mr. Zoltán Nyitrai; • Member of the Council, Economic Attaché of the Embassy of Hungary in Tashkent, Mr. Márton Kovács; • Member of the Council, First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Ruslan Suinaliev; • Member of the Council, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Temirbek Erkinov.

Reports on the agenda were presented by the Chairman of the Fund’s Management Board, Mr. Ulan Sarbanov, his Deputy, Mr. Kanat Kurmanov, and Management Board Member, Ms. Nagira Sharsheva. Invited experts included Mr. Bakhtiyar Sultanov (Credit and Investment Administration Service) and Mr. Urmat Kydyrganov (Finance and Analytics Service).

The following key issues were considered during the meeting: • Implementation progress on the of financed projects; • The Fund's Management Board Annual Report for 2024, along with the Fund's financial statements for 2024, considering the independent auditor's opinion; • Approval of the external auditor for the Fund's 2025 financial statements. As a result of the discussions, the Council adopted relevant decisions and issued instructions aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of projects, and enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the Fund’s operations.
