Meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic
On June 1, 2023, Kanat Abdrakhmanov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with Sandor Dorogi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic. At the invitation of the Ministry, Ulan Sarbanov, Chairman of the Board of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (hereinafter referred to as the Fund), took part in the meeting.
The Deputy Minister noted the high level of relations between the two countries, as well as the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of business. He outlined the important role of the Fund as a platform for the development of bilateral economic relations in general.
Kanat Abdrakhmanov introduced Ulan Sarbanov as Chairman of the Board of the Fund, noted his experience in the banking and financial sector of the Kyrgyz Republic and the task set to bring the Fund's work to a new, higher quality level.
During the meeting, issues related to water management, improvement of the irrigation system, energy, agriculture, etc. were also discussed.
At the same time, considering the experience of Hungary in these matters, specific prospects for cooperation in the field of supply of water treatment facilities, modernization of municipal infrastructure using Hungarian technologies were discussed.
In turn, Mr. Ambassador thanked the Kyrgyz side for the efforts to develop bilateral relations, including within the framework of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Hungarian commission on economic cooperation.
In conclusion, the Parties expressed their hope for further fruitful cooperation.
