On Participation in the National Consultation on the Discussion of the Second National Voluntary Review of the Implementation of the SDGs in the Kyrgyz Republic

On March 28, in the "Karkyra" hall of the "Orion" hotel, a round table titled "National Consultation on the Discussion of the Draft Second National Voluntary Review of the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Kyrgyz Republic" was held. The event was organized by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, and international development partners.

The following representatives addressed the participants: First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ch. Seitov, UN System Resident Coordinator in the Kyrgyz Republic, Antje Grawe, First Deputy Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, N.K. Kerimaliyeva, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security, and Migration of the Jogorku Kenesh, Chyngyz Aidarbekov, and Sultanbay Ayzhigitov.

The speakers emphasized the importance of joint efforts in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening international cooperation. The Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund was represented at the event by the Manager of the Financial and Analytical Service, Urmat Kydyrganov.

The round table was held as part of the preparation for the Second National Voluntary Review, which the country plans to present in July 2025 at the High-Level Political Forum of the UN Economic and Social Council in New York. Participants discussed progress and challenges in the implementation of the SDGs, as well as prospects for sustainable development, the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals, and the strengthening of cooperation with international financial institutions.
