About the meeting with the rector of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University
On April 12, a working meeting of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (hereinafter referred to as the HKDF or the Fund) and the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin (hereinafter referred to as KNAU) took place, which the parties agreed to hold on April 2 of this year on the sidelines of the Agricultural Forum 2024 «Creating a sustainable agro-industrial sector in the Kyrgyz Republic», organized by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the World Bank Group.
Chairman of the Board of the HKDF Ulan Sarbanov informed about the work carried out by the Fund to promote economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary and the modernization and development of the country’s economy, and about the conditions for financing the HKDF.
Rysbek Nurgaziev, rector of KNAU, informed about plans for joint work with the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) and the ZKI Grains Institute at MATE about the intention to continue international projects in the field of vegetable and poultry farming, about the possibilities of the recently opened university laboratory on improving efficiency in the agricultural sector, highlighted other areas of practical work and scientific research of KNAU in agriculture.
Ulan Sarbanov noted the readiness for further work when submitting an application for financing based on the presentation of the corresponding business plan. In addition, the Fund and KNAU agreed to continue information exchange on issues of mutual interest.At the end of the meeting, HKDF shared the plans of the Hungarian side to hold the Hungary-Kyrgyzstan agricultural forum in early September 2024.
