On participation in the meeting of the Minister of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Minister of Agriculture of Hungary

On September 05, 2023, Ulan Sarbanov, Chairman of the Board of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (hereinafter referred to as the Fund or HKDF) participated the meeting between Askarbek Dzhanybekov, Minister of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, and István Nagy, Minister of Agriculture of Hungary. This meeting took place within the framework of the working visit of the Hungarian delegation headed by István Nagy to the Kyrgyz Republic on September 5-6.

The meeting opened with welcoming words from Askarbek Dzhanybekov and István Nagy. Further, both sides noted that the agricultural sector is a priority sector for the development of both the economies of the two countries, and trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.

The heads of the relevant ministries exchanged views and planned to continue the emerging fruitful cooperation on the use of Hungarian experience, knowledge and technologies in the following sectors: seed production, irrigation, cattle of dairy and meat and dairy breeds. With the participation of experts, the parties discussed the current situation and prospects for the supply of honey, meat, nuts and dried fruits from the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary.

In addition, during the meeting, A. Dzhanybekov introduced U. Sarbanov to the participants and expressed his wish that the Fund would play a key role in financing projects, applications for which would be submitted on behalf of Kyrgyz and Hungarian companies acting as business partners.
