II Hungarian-Kyrgyz Food Industry Forum
On May 19, 2026, the II Hungarian-Kyrgyz Food Industry Forum was held in Bishkek at the “Budapest” conference hall. The forum was aimed at strengthening cooperation between companies of Hungary and the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as expanding partnership ties in the fields of food industry and processing.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by the Ambassador of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic, Sándor Dorogi, representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Sanazhar Dyykanov, FAO representative Oleg Guchgeldiyev, as well as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Imangaziyev.
Representing the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund at the event were Chairman of the Board Ulan Sarbanov and Deputy Chairman of the Board Kanat Kurmanov.
As part of the official program, Ulan Sarbanov delivered a presentation on the Fund’s activities, highlighting ongoing and prospective projects in the areas of food industry, agro-processing, poultry farming, pharmaceuticals, and energy. It was emphasized that the Fund continues to actively support projects aimed at modernizing production facilities, introducing modern technologies, and developing Kyrgyz-Hungarian investment cooperation. Special attention was paid to the mandatory participation of the Hungarian side in financed projects, which contributes to the expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
The forum concluded with a series of B2B meetings, during which representatives of Kyrgyz and Hungarian businesses discussed prospects for partnership, technology exchange, and the implementation of joint investment initiatives.
