On the business trip of the Fund's head to Hungary
Ulan Sarbanov, Chairman of the Board of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, took part in the meetings of the delegation headed by B.E. Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, at the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary, in the work of the III Kyrgyz-Hungarian Forum on Cooperation in Agriculture and Processing Industry and in meetings with Hungarian enterprises in the field of agriculture.
The key event of the Kyrgyz delegation's visit was Bakyt Torobaev's meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó. During the negotiations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Mr. Szijjártó, noticed the practical use of 16 million dollars of the authorized capital for the implementation of four investment projects and informed that the Government of Hungary will discuss the issue of authorized capital increase by 34 million US dollars shortly.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Torobaev, noted the importance of the Hungarian experience in water resources management and expressed interest in cooperation in the field of environmental technologies and water supply. The parties agreed to continue the dialogue and interaction to implement new mutually beneficial projects.
In addition, on January 20, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary held consultations in a working order on operational issues of increasing the authorized capital of the Fund to 50 million dollars and discussed the interest in studying the experience of developing and regulating Lake Balaton and adjacent territories for use for Lake Issyk-Kul.
