First meeting of the regional Investment Council under the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Issyk-Kul region

At the invitation of Uluk Kydyrbaev, Secretary of the Investment Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ulan Sarbanov, Chairman of the Board of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (hereinafter referred as the Fund), takes part in the first meeting of the regional Investment Council under the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Issyk-Kul region " Regional investment councils: Effective public-private dialogue as the basis for sustainable economic development”, “Successful PPPs: Solving socio-economic problems of the regions through partnership” (August 8 - 9, Sary-Oy village, Issyk-Kul district).

The event was organized by the Investment Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Issyk-Kul region and the state institution “Center for Public-Private Partnership” under the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the offices of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

As the organizers note, “the main goal of the event is to identify new promising opportunities and priority sectors for the implementation of projects through the mechanism of public-private partnership, as well as to raise awareness of government agencies, entrepreneurs and the local population of the Issyk-Kul region. The Issyk-Kul region, with its investment potential and tourist attractiveness, is an ideal platform for the development of new projects.”

Among the speakers of the event are the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Issyk-Kul region Ulanbek Daliev, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sanzharbek Bolotov, Head of IFC in Kyrgyzstan Dmitry Pyatachenko, Director of the Center for Agribusiness Competitiveness Torogul Bekov, guest of honor and professor of Seoul University Dr. Hwang Won Gyu.
